Using organizational science as a source of knowledge, Loes Houweling and Suzanne Rutz used metaphors to guide us through different types of organizations and how these organizations learn. We learned how the metaphors influenced our perspective on organizations and how this can be helpful in research. Discussions about the (interests of) different types of organizations, and the ongoing learning that is high on the agenda in the ever-changing youth domain, provided the participants with ample material for ongoing discussions within and between their organizations.
