Using organisational science as a source of knowledge Loes Houweling and Suzanne Rutz we use metaphors to help us in different types of organizations and how these organizations learn. We experienced how the metaphors can change your view of organizations and how this can help in research. The discussions about the various organizations and interests in the constantly changing youth domain, where permanent learning is high on the agenda, gave the participants enough material to continue talking about after the meeting. Participant: "the metaphors provide vocabulary to carry the conversation about learning.”
